27-6741-20SmartBaseTM siRNA non-silencing with Trivalent GalNAc PAGE Purified 20 nmols

This SmartBaseTM siRNA negative control sequence has no known homology to human, mouse and rat expressed sequences. SmartBaseTM siRNA are designed with all bases modified to either 2'-fluoro or 2'O-methyl and some linkages converted to phosphorothioate. These have been shown to be more effective as compared to standard RNA bases. SmartBaseTM siRNA non-silencing are available with no cell delivery tag or with Cholesterol, Trivalent GalNAc or alpha-tocopeherol.

A negative control should also be included when performing siRNA experiments to eliminate the possibility of nonspecific silencing effects. For this purpose, Gene Link provides a siRNA sequence that has been shown to have no effect on gene silencing. The negative control siRNA is also available labeled with fluorescein, which allows transfection efficiency to be tracked by fluorescent microscopy.
